Liquid Assets is a public media and outreach initiative that seeks to inform the nation about the critical role that our water infrastructure plays. BRACKISH GROUNDWATER DESALINATION CONFERENCE

WEAT in association with El Paso Water Utilities, TCEQ, TAWWA, and TWDB presents the first Brackish Groundwater Desalination Conference to be held at the new TecH2O Center in El Paso, Texas. The 30,450 square foot TecH2O Center is adjacent to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Plant. The Center’s focus is on the many facets of water management with sixteen interactive exhibit areas. The conference will focus on:

      • Case studies from around Texas and includes a detailed tour of the largest inland groundwater desalination plant in the world
      • Hydrogeological characterization of brackish groundwater
      • Desalination of brackish groundwater
      • Deep well injection of disposal products
      • Desalination studies and pilot programs
      • This conference is an unprecedented chance to learn about groundwater desalination
