Headquartered in New Braunfels, Canyon Regional Water Authority (CRWA) provides 28,000-acre feet of treated groundwater and surface water to 11 members and two customers in a 1,700 square mile area within the I-35/IH-10 corridor in Central Texas. CRWA serves Guadalupe County, population 166,847, which is located 90 miles from the Gulf of Mexico in south central Texas.

The CRWA seeks a professional leader with a strategic mindset to serve as its next General Manager. This person should be an active listener, a strong relationship builder with client management experience and an excellent customer service presence.

Position Minimum Experience

A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration/Management, Public Administration, or related field is required. The candidate must also have a minimum of 5 years previous experience in a management role.

Scope of Responsibilities

The General Manager oversees the business of CRWA, serves as a liaison with governmental entities and the Region “L” Planning Group, as well as represents CRWA in public meetings, hearings, and other venues. The General Manager provides leadership and direction to employees, staff, contractors, agents, professional consultants, and delegates of CRWA. They are also tasked with ensuring that the Board of Trustees are adequately informed on operational matters while maintaining proper conduct of all functions of CRWA.
