Emerging Leader Award Nomination

The Emerging Leader Award is presented by WEAT to a young member of WEAT who has provided outstanding service in support of the Association in the form of committee involvement, recruiting, volunteer time, event participation, or other contributions.

General Criteria:
  1. The nominee shall be a current WEAT member and have no more than five years of membership in WEAT. The WEAT Membership Number must be provided.
  2. The nominee shall be under 36 years of age at the time of the nomination.
  3. The nominee shall have served on at least one WEAT state or section or ad-hoc committee.
  4. The nominee shall not have previously won the WEAT Emerging Leader award.
  5. The nomination shall include at least one letter of recommendation.
  6. The nomination shall include a short biography of the nominee.
  7. The nomination shall include a description of the nominee's WEAT-related activities.
  8. A one-page summary of how the nominee meets the criteria and why the nominee should receive the award is required.
