WEAT Committee Engagement Award

Description

WEAT is made up of volunteers who, through their active participation in various committees, foster the success and growth of the organization. The Committee Engagement Award has been created to honor the committee that reflects the highest standards of performance and impact to the organization. Nominees shall exemplify excellence, innovation, and commitment by making significant contributions throughout the past year to both the mission of their committee and mission of WEAT.

The Workforce Development Award shall be presented to an individual(s) who have demonstrated concerted and meaningful contributions to water workforce development in Texas.
WEAT recognizes that workforce development including attracting, training and retaining a skilled workforce is one of the most pressing issues facing the sector today. The WEAT Workforce Development Awards recognizes those making a meaningful and impactful difference in workforce resilience and enhancement through programs aimed at developing, training, and retaining talented water sector workers.

Ken Miller Water For People Founder's Award

Description

The Kenneth J. Miller Founder's Award was established in 2001 by the board of directors of Water For People to honor outstanding volunteer service to this international humanitarian effort. Water For People was conceived as a North American response to the water, sanitation and health needs of millions living in the developing world.

WEAT 5S Award

Description

The Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers was founded by the Arizona Member Association in 1940.
It originated to encourage members to get involved. You cannot join the society – you must be “selected” on the basis of merit. Within WEAT, induction into the prestigious society is based on “Outstanding, meritorious service above and beyond the call of duty by recruiting at least five new members." Shovels may also be awarded for exceptional service as established by the WEAT Board.

Description

Recognizing individuals who have been a member of WEF for 35 or more consecutive years, and are of the age 65 or older.

WEF Quarter Century Operator Club

Description

...honoring operators of wastewater treatment plants for service and dedication in a difficult and dangerous field. Members must have been a significant, full-time participant in the water environment industry for a period of 25 years, including at least 10 years actively involved in the day-to-day collections, maintenance, operations, laboratory, or management of a wastewater treatment facility.
