This session will explore how Digital OneWater, AI, smart sensors, and predictive analytics are transforming wastewater collection system operations. Through real-world case studies, including an example from Wilmington, Delaware, the presentation will show how utilities are using digital tools to create “smart sewer systems” that improve asset management, condition assessment, operations, and maintenance. Topics include AI-enabled CCTV defect analysis using NASSCO standards, risk scoring, rehabilitation and replacement recommendations, multi-platform sensor dashboards, wet-weather optimization, overflow reduction, obstruction monitoring, and maintenance prioritization based on combined sensor and condition assessment data.
