Join the WEAT North Texas Section for a day of barbequing, camaraderie, and costumes!
The annual Opstoberfest is a cook-off competition to raise money for the Texas Operations Challenge teams. The event will include traditional food and drink competitions and serves as a celebration of the North Texas Section of WEAT. The WEAT NTS President leads the program with announcements and messages from committee chairs. Approximately 150 individuals attend the event and are able to sample food entries from all the teams. Awards will be given out for best chicken, beef, pork, wild game, dessert, beer, pitmaster, most hospitable team, and best kids’ costume.

8:00 AM - Cookoff Teams may arrive
5:00 PM - Social Hour
6:00 PM - Food Judging and Costume Contest
6:15 PM - Kids' Dinner Buffet
6:30 PM - General Buffet and Program
7:30 PM - Awards
Registration
- Member and consultant employee registration: $20
- City/Utility employee registration: $10
- Children 15 and under: free
