This position includes oversight of the operations, maintenance, engineering and administration of current and proposed Authority Projects within Northern Region and other programs of the Northern Region as assigned. In addition, this position works with Northern Region Project Managers and staff to develop, update, and implement liquids, solids, biosolids, and sludge disposal treatment processes and related operating treatment programs that are included or unique to each Project.

Project Engineer - Water Services

This position will be responsible for engineering calculations and detailed design for a variety of projects, such as:

Water distribution and wastewater collection, including pumping and storage
Sewer distribution and collection, pumping and lifts
Water and wastewater treatment plants

BIM Design Technician I

As a member of the Texas Water Design Center for Garver, this Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician will be responsible for drawing production efforts for Garver’s Texas Water Design Center. The BIM Technician will collaborate with engineers, designers, and other BIM technicians to produce drawings and manage workload on various Water Business Line projects.

Structural Engineer-Water/Wastewater

As part of the Texas Water Design Center for Garver, this Structural Engineer will be responsible for developing structural designs in support of various projects for Garver’s Texas Water Design Center. Assistant Regional Wastewater System Manager

1. Manages work schedules, procedures, and personnel to ensure operations and maintenance is completed to improve reliability, optimize investments, and achieve regulatory compliance.
2. Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Regional Wastewater System goals, objectives, policies and procedures; ensures that goals are achieved.
3. Assist in the overall preparation, organization and management of annual budgets, and monitors established budget and ensures adherence to purchasing requirements.
4. Directly supervise staff to include hiring, performance evaluations and coaching to support staff development.
5. Prepares, analyzes, and distributes wastewater reports and data as necessary to ensure proactive management of resources.
6. Review and coordinate capital project needs, coordinates with staff and Engineering department in successful execution of capital improvements, and facilitates handoff of projects to facility staff.
7. Participates in the management of Operations projects, engineering studies, cost estimates and operational procurement projects.

Wastewater Systems Superintendent

The City of Fort Worth is seeking to fill the position of Wastewater Systems Superintendent at the Village Creek Water Reclamation Facility. The person in this position will possess management and leadership skills needed to plan, direct, manage, and coordinate the operational and process control activities of a 166MGD water reclamation plant.

Project Engineer (Development Engineering) and Project Engineer (Pipelines)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Identifies projects; develops project scopes; manages the planning, design, construction, implementation of projects, and directs project execution and schedules for projects. •Prepares, seals, and certifies plans and specifications; prepares and/or reviews construction documents, cost estimates, plats, easements; performs and/or reviews hydraulic modeling and analysis of existing and future SAWS infrastructure, and other submittals by engineering consultants and internal staff for completeness and correctness. May include large scale and long term projects. •Prepares request for proposals; evaluates interest statement submittals; and ensures effective implementation of professional services contracts. •Manages project, schedule, and quality performance of the team. •Negotiates contracts, settlements, and issues with SAWS contractors, consultants, and the public. •Manages construction projects by inspecting the progress and quality of the construction work and budget status; reviews drawings, submittal and analytical test reports; assures conformance to the contract plans, construction and material specifications and SAWS standards; prepares change orders and contract amendments; reviews and approves monthly pay estimates and schedules submitted by the contractor; and prepares and negotiates change orders. •Leads teams in acquiring necessary project permits; ensures all necessary permits have been submitted to appropriate regulatory agencies. •Provides engineering support and technical knowledge to other departments within SAWS for special projects including development of regulations, specifications, contracts, and studies. •Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external agencies and public relations including local and regional entities. •Coordinates the implementation of interagency projects, developing internal and external project or program teams, guidelines, and procedures. •Applies engineering principles and practices as it relates to design and implementation of wastewater, water, reuse, chilled water, and heating or steam projects. •Prepares and delivers verbal and written presentations to SAWS staff and management and the public. •Performs other duties as assigned. Utility Technician

Under direct supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform semi-skilled work as an operator in the installation and maintenance of the city's water/wastewater utility systems, lines, lift stations, and associated equipment. Employees in this class are engaged in the construction and repair of water and wastewater mains and attendant devices. Work includes connection of fittings, excavation for the installation and repair of lines, the testing and monitoring of water pressure, and job-site restoration tasks. Duties involve exposure to adverse working conditions and occasional adverse weather conditions. Performs related work as required.

Water/Wastewater Electrical Project Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will have overall responsibilities for the electrical design on Water/Wastewater projects including lift stations, storm water pump stations, water treatment plants, and wastewater treatment plants. The engineer will develop drawings and technical specifications for projects based on in-house standards, client standards, National Electrical Code, and local ordinances. The position will involve the design and documentation of the electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA system of new and rehab facilities. The position will coordinate the electrical design with all other disciplines so that the design is completely coordinated internally as well as with external clients.

Wastewater Systems Superintendent

Wastewater Systems Superintendent job duties include the following:

Manage, supervise and coordinate assigned activities and operations related to Wastewater Treatment processes.


Develop, implement, and manage annual sectional budget.


Monitor and evaluate the quality, responsiveness, efficiency and effectiveness of assigned wastewater programs including treatment, reuse water system, plant odor control, and operation of wet-weather high rate clarification and peak flow storage facilities.


Provide leadership and guidance to key personnel as part of professional development through administration of an effective training program.


Assure the quality of wastewater produced meets regulations set by federal, state, and local agencies, and ensures stability and quality standards of biosolids.


Ensure timely and accurate completion of required Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) and Monthly Effluent Monitoring Reports (MERs).


Record and maintain detailed information on the operation of the wastewater plant and compare the results with goals, regulatory and environmental standards.

This position requires someone who will assist the District Operator in operation of the Wastewater Plant and to learn the operation of all plant processes so effluent meets TCEQ standards. Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and coordinate the design and planning of challenging water/wastewater projects, build client relationships, and serve in a significant role in building B&N’s business in Texas. The Senior Water/Wastewater Design Engineer will be supported by a staff of technical experts throughout the firm, as well as a strong corporate business development team. Typical projects will include wastewater system design (gravity sewer, force main lift station, and metering systems), water system design (pipelines, booster stations, storage tanks/reservoirs), storm water and site drainage design, wastewater treatment plant infrastructure design, and construction phase related services.

Senior Engineer, Planning and Development, Northern Region

This candidate must be able to lead projects in a team environment, facilitate collaboration and effectively supervise and direct the activities of other professionals. The ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships with TRA consultants, contracting parties and other internal departments is imperative. Strong interaction with Authority operations, maintenance, land rights and construction inspection departments will be important. The Authority prefers that this candidate have experience with water and wastewater treatment analysis, design and capital improvements planning.
