Manager, Purchasing

Reporting to the Executive Manager of Administrative Services, this position is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the Purchasing and Warehouse Division. This includes centralized oversight of the Authority’s procurement practices to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, policies, and procedures. Key areas of responsibility include formal and informal bidding, RFPs, RFQs, cooperative purchasing, Authority auctions, and administration of the P-Card and fleet management programs. The role also oversees warehouse operations and inventory management for materials valued at over $800,000. Additionally, this position plays a critical role in supporting electrical power purchases and monitoring power usage. The incumbent is responsible for developing, tracking, and reporting key performance indicators and procurement metrics that align with and support the Authority’s strategic purchasing goals.

SCADA I&C Technician 3

The SJRA is a public entity whose mission is to develop, conserve, and protect the water resources of the San Jacinto River basin. Its primary purpose is to implement long-term, regional projects related to water supply and water quality. SJRA delivers raw water to both municipal and industrial consumers and provides water treatment and wastewater services through the ownership, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure including reservoirs, groundwater wells, surface water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, and miles of open channel and conveyance systems.

Director - Conservation

The Director - Conservation is a senior management-level professional responsible for strategic policy and program initiatives that achieve short- and long-term water conservation goals. S/he leads all aspects of conservation planning and project development from initial planning and conceptual development through project implementation. In addition, s/he leads the system in all aspects of drought management and enforcement and serves as the principal spokesperson for the System on conservation and drought-related issues. The Director-Conservation reports to the Senior Vice President-Communications & External Affairs.
